Private Counsel for Serious Matters
Independent strategic and practical advice for athletes, online creators and high-profile individuals facing serious allegations, investigations or disciplinary matters.
A clear assessment of your circumstances and priorities. Recommendations on the decisions ahead. Continuing advice as the situation develops.
Independent advice focused on you
A serious allegation or investigation can affect your career, commercial relationships and private life at the same time. Decisions may need attention before the full picture is clear.
Bloomsbury Consultancy helps you understand the circumstances, establish your priorities and decide how to proceed. We assess the information available, identify the decisions that matter and give you practical recommendations.
We work alongside your lawyers, agents and other specialists where appropriate, with advice focused on your priorities and real-world next steps.
Who we advise
Athletes
When an allegation, investigation or disciplinary matter raises questions about your sporting career, club relationships, sponsorship or future professional commitments.
Online creators
When serious allegations or investigations affect your platform presence, commercial partnerships, income or decisions about continuing to work.
High-profile individuals
When a sensitive matter places your professional responsibilities, business relationships or private life under scrutiny.
How we help
Every engagement begins with a defined assessment. Continuing advice is available by separate agreement as the situation develops.
01
Assessment and Recommendations
A focused first step to understand your circumstances, review the key information and identify the decisions that need attention.
You will receive a clear written assessment, practical recommendations, next steps and a follow-up conversation.
The fee is fixed and agreed privately before we begin.
02
Continuing Strategic Advisory
Where your situation continues to develop, we provide advice over an agreed four-week period. This gives you support as new information emerges, helps you make informed decisions and enables you to put agreed steps into practice.
Each four-week period is agreed separately.
The experience behind Bloomsbury Consultancy
You work directly with Arkay Caan, Bloomsbury's founder and principal adviser.
A former barrister, his background spans criminal advocacy, international criminal law and United Nations legal work. That experience informs a careful, evidence-led approach: distinguishing what is known from what remains uncertain, considering the wider implications and explaining recommendations clearly.
Arkay reviews the agreed material himself and remains your principal point of contact throughout the engagement.
